Written over the year of particular global upheaval, the album "Paid To Be Entertained" is rooted in experimentation with different ways of retaining attention through flirting with contrast and unnaturalness stretched across different layers.

Sharp synthetic percussion jabs paired with stretched granular pads, self-recorded deliberately lo-fi sounds surgically incised into straightforward chord progressions very familiar to the listener – all those disparate elements somehow found their way onto the tracks.
These intertwined elements are a conduit through a tangled story that winds up between the organic and the synthetic, alive and artificial. An enveloping, mellow ambience and arpeggiated melodies, infectious and irritating simultaneously, are strung on a barbed rhythmic backbone in a soulful fashion urging to listen to it thoroughly one more time.
